Only 'upgrades' I made to my previously-posted plans were to a full 4-year on-site fix-it warranty, 4GB of RAM, a full A/B/G/Pre-N wireless card, 8x DVD dual-layer RW, and adding the Certified Wireless-USB option back in. Majority of the cost was the 4th year, so the total after tax, including the eCoupon effect, was $2305.01, and it should be here... around April 1st, amusingly. =^.^=

Um... Ow+Squeeeeee=Laptop? :)

Heh, if I hadn't ninja's in on a sale, I'd be staring down another grand on the price I just quoted actually. =^.^=

And... um... you're an artist? *rimshot* Sorry, stereotype, couldn't resist. You officially have permission to hit be upside the head at the next con we're both at with your choice of blunt instruments. =^.^=

It'll only be the same rough size as my existing laptop. =^.^= Desktop-replacement laptops _start_ at 17", and some get as large as 20" across. =-.-=

Gah, don't scare me like that!

Not after all the problems my grandmother had with her caddy, I'd much rather have the Toyota of laptops. =^.^=

I haven't heard much bad about Caddy's before.

Well... she did have the one with the auto-levelling airbag suspension. Had to have the blasted bags replaced no less than 6 times before she got rid of the vehicle finally, it just got too expensive to maintain. =-.-=

That sounds like a feature that wasn't ready for public consumption! Ugh.

I went to the Car Show tonight. I'm giving the Scion xD serious consideration now. It gets good gas mileage and has the bluetooth phone option, and the iPod specific option.

It's basically the T-Sport Yaris 5-door with 'funky' body styling. It's quite nice, from the time I got handed one while I had my Yaris in for a TSB overnight. =^.^=

Y'know, I need to double-check the bluetooth option.
