Basic Computer Etiquette...

...when I hand you a laptop I've told you I've disabled the passwords on, and that you may create a FireFox profile or even a full username on, and hook up my cell-phone for GPRS so you can check your e-mail and sig-alert.com before you head home from work, you may not...

  • Clear the browser history

  • Clear the cookies

Only saving grace is they didn't clear my god-damn saved passwords. Now I have to hunt for all the webcomics I visit and tend to leave in my history file among other sites I visit regularly, and log into all the forums and websites I go to. And punch said friend in the arm next time I see him.

:-( That was ..well, rude. :-/

Turns out it was a bug in firefox apparently.

So not his fault. Just annoying. :-P

This is why you should ALWAYS have a guest account set up, that can do no damage to your REAL account. <-- like I take my own advice... except that I do have a guest@aerowolf.com domain account set up, with "Restricted Groups" set up so that it IS in "Guests".

Linux, first off.

But I know what'cha mean. I hadn't done that yet, as I was still setting up and fine-tuning things like clickable icons for GPRS versus 802.11 versus Ethernet status and enabling/disabling them all.

I think he was looking at something naughty and did not want you to know.

Bad friend, smack him good.

Got my own laptop here for that (as if looking at 'naughty' stuff is a reason for a smack). Had to send an email while we were both at work though, and the battery on this one is toast, so I'd left it home.

As if it needed an explanation anyway. :D

Looking at naughty stuff on your own is fine, on someone elses.....I think it crosses the line.....Naughty sites have viruses and garbage like that, plus some of them put images that the owner may not want on thier hard drive.

But you weren't doing that, so I take back the smack :)
