...and I've come to a realization. The Honda Acty, that I'm pretty sure I've mentioned here before, is a very interesting vehicle that I think could very easilly replace (in van form) the niche market the first-generation Scion xB's held for a'while: Low-cost, low-power, high-efficiency little vehicles that have cargo room for days and days. If only they'd make a US-capable version and import the buggers.

I mean, seriously, mid-engines, 4WD micro-van with about 7½ inches of ground clearance? It adds functional dirt-road camping utility to what the xB could already do previously. Makes me wish I could win the lottery so I could buy 50 of them in a batch and run them through the crash-testing requirements so they can be imported legally for road-use, they're already proving popular for off-highway use to replace ATV's in their pickup-truck form.

There are two things that would make it appealing to the US market:

More creature comforts/amenities.

A wee-bit more horsepower.

That's just my take on it.
