Farewell, Furp. I've known you almost as long as I've been in the fandom, off-and-on as is my way in life... you always were there when others needed you, including me. And you were, in many ways, why I tried so hard to find those that didn't like me, to try to find out why so I could hopefully change myself for the better.

He never needed credit for his actions. Not never wanted, simply never needed it. So few knew him directly, or realized how often they interacted with him even if they did, because much like myself he just went along and Did. Wikipedia life philosophy, so to speak. Do, don't debate, find a way to act, then move on and see what else there is to see.

The fact he was Medical Staff (sometimes unofficial, just bringing his personal EMT backpack and walking around cons at unholy hours) is another example. He just wanted to help, and often did, then just stepped back into the shadows and went on a'walking again.

It's nice to get so much positive attention and love, esp after you're dead and can't appreciate it and realize it. Would be mighty keen of folks to give this kind of attention BEFORE people die, so they can know that they're doing something right in life. =P Anyway, despite everything I do, I don't expect I'll ever get any praise or appreciation for it since I'm so readily villainized for my attitude and beliefs. I really should care less about furries and their selfishness.

In this case, I actually can at least re-assure you that Furp knew on a frequent basis that he was Doing Something Right™, and had numerous folks planning and participating in the adventures of his life. There's a motorcycle ride he was planning that's turning into a memorial ride for him, several folks had skits and what-not planned for cons coming up, the whole reason there's so much outpouring is because he was so active in so many places.

But he never was 'in charge' or had his name attached to things, so those he didn't interact with directly frequently didn't realize how active he really was. SMOF in that way, I suppose.

And you have done some amazing things, many of which I think are quite praiseworthy. Even I and Furp have had our share of detractors though, I'll be honest.
