...but I'd love to if I can. If nothing else, posting this to back-reference later for running down the list of links.

Total price for the entire set of kit will be about $350 including shipping and all that jazz... would dearly love it for the drive down just to have my laptop right where I can use it, will have to see how my paycheck on the 7th of August looks. And yes, I have about $75 there of optional gee-haw's, though the majority I think anyone that's ridden with me on a mountain road will understand why I added them since there's a nice set of twisties on the way to/from MFM. =^.^=

Don't:
  • Get in a wreck.
  • Get a ticket.
  • Leave the lap top in the car.
  • Especially on a hot day.
  • Roll the vehicle.

Cool links, I'm now checking out mounts for Freightliners.

Oh, these twisties is because they have TONS of guard-rails everywhere, and they're rated for 35-45 so I can cruise down them at 0-10 over the posted speed limit and still have a lot of fun. They're the roads the bobtail truckers take, but the trailer-truckers can't, basically. =^.^=

And the mount is purely for while on the road, the laptop goes with me whenever I leave the car, full stop. Glorified GPS and weather-radar and what-not, basically, or if I have a passenger they can do whatever while I'm driving. Soon as I get to a hotel? Quick-release the whole mount into the hotel room with me.

And yeah, Ram Mounts seems to be the be-all/end-all place for vehicle-specific laptop and other types of mounts for LEO and big-rigs for inside-the-cap use.

If you have my number, give me a call. If not, drop me a not here and I'll leave it for you. (Got to make it a screen comment note.) I would like to talk to you about a potential road trip to save a kitty.
