They're pretty good about updating that whenever there's issues, like the earlier notification-delays that everyone was going, "Hey, this broken for you?" about earlier... they had a note about the problem up on that status page. =^.^=

I don't usually go to the status site when I can't get to LJ, I usually just work under the premiss that it's not up or not working, or if I can't do other things, *I* have a network issue. ;-)

Yeah, well they even host the status.livejournal.com domain on an entirely different infrastructure just to make sure that at least stays up if the main site is down. =^.^=

I think http://status.livejournal.org is actually the preferred URL. Using the different TLD potentially mitigates some kinds of DNS issue, I think.
