...I do have some things working on my own journal now. I'm slowly working through and rebuilding everything to Pendorian, because damnit, if I'm going to be fighting the damn style system every step of the way, I'm going to keep fighting the god damn thing until it's beaten into a whimpering, mangled mess in the corner.

And then I'll submit the style as an example of how far you can stretch the style system, and what changes to the style-editing tools and the S2 system itself would have made the creation of said style easier, both from a progmatic and end-user standpoint, so hopefully the damn tools will improve. Even if I have to start developing the damn code myself. =^.^=

And yes, I plan to make the journal support setting the 'calendar' it's kept in, between Pendorian, Terran, and Martian to start with. For now, just getting Pendorian finished is the largest task.

Now... anyone out there able to think of a better calendar layout for a year with 262 days split across 16 months, with 4 '1 day' months littered about than the following?

Specifically, should I do the coding needed to 'tack in' Narquel to avoid having the right-side often be a line longer than the left-side of the calendar? I'm half-way between making the calendar orient to the weekdays (6 in a week) or label the weekdays at the top each time instead. So... time for a poll! =^.^=

Why is there such a big difference in the two months listings of Yavar and Narquel, while all other months are so uniform?

...so kindly ask elfs as to why he decided to have his fictional world break up the uniformity of the other months with that abnormally-sized pair, not me. =^.^=

Yes, originally this whole ordeal started just for fun, because I wanted to do something 'different' than just-another-pretty-style. And now it's about doing it 'right' to finish it properly.

Well, a long time ago, I used to follow elfs's work with his Journal Entries, but I ...got out of the habit, I suppose, and haven't taken the time to catch up with his works. He's pretty busy these days though, I do read in his LJ.
