wolfwings...I'm still kinda sniffly, but I've got most of my stuff loaded, and will be heading out very soon.
*hugs* And thanks, everyone... the words honestly did help. Talking to my Mum finally did too... she pointed out something I hadn't thought of... this job will actually pay enough I can actually afford to do things like... fly up to see Rose on a weekend just because I feel like it. =^.^=
Though making it TO her Graduation will be a pain in the tail. =-.-= I'll figure it out, I already promised that to her, and I don't care how I get there, I'll be there. =^.^=

Date: 2004-06-03 08:41 am (UTC)At said Con, I got a job. A damn well-paying one, is ramping up over the next few months to $12/hour, 40 hours/week, then slows down till it hits $15/hour.
It also involved moving from the PS to a new place so the job was reachable without a car (which I still don't have, but I have a license now, woot!) and going back to the PS to pick up my stuff hit me a lot harder than I ever could think it would. =-.-=
So, yeah, I was all sniffly and stuff for a few hours at the PS while I was there, ended up talking with Mum on cell phone for quite a few hours before I settled down and worked through all the emotions I hadn't known I'd had for the place. =^.^=
And I was all stressed-out over the job and how different it was, but I'll survive. I'm not about to sink, so time to learn to swim in very short order. :-)

As for who I'm living with, communal house-hold, much like the Prancing Skiltaire in it's own ways. I've grown up in such, I feel I'm likely to almost always live in such. :-)

First paycheck from this place, if Robert doesn't stop messing around and always forgetting or ignoring my requests to bring the computer parts he has over, I'm buying you a cheap computer until I save up to buy a laptop, then you get the desktop I've been using. These delays are just uncalled for, so I'm not going to wait on Robert any longer. =-.-=
