[livejournal.com profile] otana is now suspended from LiveJournal? Um... WTF? =O.o=

Yes, that is all, I'm just... baffled, what the hell happened?

So we can't even link to art auctions in public entries? o.o

That's what I'm wondering.

Because she mentioned doing commissions in her userinfo.

Yes, because she said she did commissions, regardless of type or specifics, apparently. It was a complaint against her userinfo listing specifically though, so I do not know if this applies to links to auction sites in a journal entry, or even mentioning accepting commissions in a journal entry.

But mentioning that you'll accept payment for art is apparently verboten, at least in your userinfo specifically, though with how vague the ToS is, and how narrow the complaint was against Otana, I'd recommend setting all links to FurBid or similair friends-only.

Amusingly, placing a PayPal "donate" button is perfectly okay, as Otana thought that was the problem, but it actually wasn't a problem apparently. :-P So accepting money at random is fine. Giving things to people is fine. Accepting money for things you give back in return, and mentioning this fact on LiveJournal, is what I'm taking to be verboten. So, to be blunt, treat any auctions or art sales like prostitutes have to treat their chosen profession in most of the United States. Double-talk and caution.

Maybe it was the fact that it was accepting money for something related to Livejournal services? As in, LJ icons?

This is why I filed the support request to try to get more information, which points back at this journal entry also. :-)
